Find A Butcher Logo

This logo and branding treatment was created for a new community outreach program of the American Association of Meat Processors, North America's largest meat trade organization. The Association wanted to create a website, social media presence, and store-front signage that would encourage customers to forego big-box grocery stores and instead buy their meat at a local butcher. I created the logo to combine the ubiquitous location pin with an easily-identifiable icon for meat. The resulting logo is simple, memorable and industry appropriate. The customer was extremely pleased.

International Award Winner!

This logo won the 2026 Best Brand Awards Silver medal for The Americas. And the overall branding strategy developed by Graphics Without Borders won the 2026 Best Brand Awards Award of Excellence for New Identities.

This is a big honor for Graphics Without Borders. The Best Brands Awards jury features art directors and brand specialists from eight countries: France, Luxembourg, Denmark, Spain, Hungary, Brazil, Australia, and the USA. The jury voted on the merits of the logo and branding and determined that it was one of the best among hundreds of entrants from the U.S., Canada, Latin America and South America.

The logo combines the ubiquitous ‘location pin’ with an easily-identifiable icon for meat. With or without the text, the logo clearly says “Find a Butcher.” 

 

The slab serif font (Elizeth Condensed) conveys tradition and a hand-made aesthetic.
