I’m Matt Hood, the illustrator and graphic designer behind
Graphics Without Borders

Now living near Washington D.C., I was born and raised near Kansas City. I left the Midwest after college and have since lived and worked near Seattle, Washington; Moscow, Russia; Paris, France; and Wiesbaden, Germany. Each new location – and cultural immersion – has informed and influenced my work.

An artist at heart, I was educated and trained as a print journalist, and I spent more than 10 years in the trenches of daily newspapers as a designer and graphics editor. With that background to call on, I can effectively work as part of a team and meet deadline while staying flexible and making the edits and alterations that are inevitable in the creative process.
